Neuchâtel — A Hidden Gem

Neuchâtel sits on the northwestern shore of Lake Neuchâtel in French-speaking Switzerland. It's one of the country's most charming and undervisited cities — a medieval old town, a lakeside promenade, and the Jura mountains rising behind the city. The lake itself is Switzerland's largest entirely within the country's borders.

The Bitcoin Paradigm is a distinctly Swiss and Francophone event, serving the French-speaking Bitcoin community that doesn't always find its voice at the larger German or English-language conferences. That specificity gives it a character all its own.

Getting There

Neuchâtel is about 45 minutes by train from Bern or Lausanne, and about 1.5 hours from Zurich. Switzerland's rail network is famously efficient. The city is easily combined with a visit to Bern (the capital) or a day trip to the Jura watchmaking region.
