What Changed for 2027

The date shift is the headline. BTC Prague 2026 ran June 11–13. The 2027 edition lands May 6–8, moving the conference into early May. If you plan your European conference year around it, adjust — the gap between BTC Prague and other spring events is different now.

The venue change matters more. Every recent edition was held at PVA EXPO PRAHA, an expo complex in the Letňany district on the north edge of the city. Organizers have said 2027 moves to a larger venue in the center of Prague, citing growing attendance. As of this writing the specific venue has not been named publicly, so book refundable accommodation until it is announced.

Why BTC Prague Is Worth the Trip

BTC Prague started in the depths of the 2022 bear market and grew into the largest Bitcoin-only event in Europe. That "Bitcoin-only" part is the differentiator: no altcoin booths, no multi-chain panels, no "digital assets" framing. The programming, the exhibitors, and the crowd are all there for the same thing.

The format runs across a main stage, an expo stage, and a large exhibition hall. Content skews more retail and culture than developer depth — if you want protocol-level technical content, bitcoin++ is the better fit. What BTC Prague does exceptionally well is scale and atmosphere: thousands of Bitcoiners in one building, a serious expo floor, and a city that has produced a disproportionate share of Bitcoin companies and projects.

Language and Accessibility

The conference runs in English. The main stage, expo stage, and expo area are all English-language. There is a separate outdoor stage programmed in Czech, aimed at local attendees and newcomers.

Talks are not live streamed, but keynotes and panels are recorded and posted to the BTC Prague YouTube channel afterward. Seating is first come, first served.

Getting There and Getting Around

Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) connects to most major European hubs and has direct routes from several US cities seasonally. Prague's public transit is inexpensive and reliable, and a central venue means most conference hotels will be within walking or short tram distance — a meaningful improvement over the Letňany location, which required a metro ride from the center.
