Why a Bitcoiner Would Attend a Software Conference

Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, wrote the corporate Bitcoin treasury playbook. Whatever you think of the leveraged version of that strategy, the company's annual conference is where the executives evaluating it gather — CFOs, treasurers, board members, and institutional allocators who are not in the Bitcoin conference circuit and never will be.

The Bitcoin programming has run as Bitcoin for Corporations, a concurrent event co-presented with Bitcoin Magazine. It is aimed squarely at business leaders and financial officers rather than at developers or retail holders. If your work touches corporate adoption, sales into enterprises, or treasury advisory, the attendee list is the product.

What the Agenda Looks Like

Recent editions have paired a Saylor and Phong Le main-stage keynote with 80-plus expert sessions and workshops, certifications, and hands-on labs. The non-Bitcoin content is genuinely about enterprise analytics and AI, so expect to skip a fair amount of it unless you use the software.

At Strategy World 2026 in Las Vegas, Saylor closed the main stage framing Bitcoin as "digital capital" and detailing the company's balance sheet position. The 2027 agenda has not been published.

Orlando in Late March

Orlando in late March is close to ideal — highs in the low 80s Fahrenheit, low humidity by Florida standards, and before the summer storm season. Orlando International (MCO) is a major hub with direct service from most US cities and many international ones.

Bonnet Creek sits inside the Walt Disney World resort area, roughly 20 minutes from the airport. It is a resort campus rather than a downtown convention center, which means the conference is somewhat self-contained: most attendees stay on property and the networking happens at the hotel bars.

Who Should Skip It

If you want protocol-level technical content, this is the wrong event — try bitcoin++ or TABConf. If you want Bitcoin culture and community, BTC Prague or Bitcoin 2027 will serve you far better. Strategy World is a corporate conference with a serious Bitcoin track attached, and it is worth the ticket only if the corporate audience is the point.
